posterior::as_draws_array() and posterior::as_draws() of a gibbs() fit give an iterations x chains x components draws_array; coda::as.mcmc.list() gives one mcmc object per chain, with the iteration numbers of the kept draws. Only the chains that ran to the end enter (see mcmc_diagnostics()). They open the rest of both packages, such as posterior::rstar(), posterior::rhat_nested() or coda::raftery.diag(), which BreedingR does not implement. Both packages are suggested, not required.
